In order to work towards the vision of a world full of love, it’s going to take a village. Well, quite a few villages, actually. That’s why we need heart to heart human creativity and connection made possible on a large scale through technology. We need many people to help. Many people to believe and create. We need a movement. We need, what we like to epically call...
The Lovelution; a global love movement
The Lovelution is already taking place. There are people everywhere that are seeking to do good. Trying to help each other. Wanting their careers and their lives to not only make themselves happy, but fulfilled, doing something positive for others. This can be seen in community initiatives, the surge in nonprofit organizations, social entrepreunerism, voluntourism, among others.
Are we trying to say that love, creativity, and doing good is something new? Absolutely not. It’s probably been around longer than we have. But we believe that there is an increased activity of love across the globe. A movement of love. It has a foundation in the many movements that have gone before it, telling a progressive story of our human race.
Yet, this is the movement of our day. Of our generation. A world full of people who are full of love. Or, as we like to call them, “lovers”- an individual who makes love to life. Who appreciates life through the eyes of a child. Who imagines with wonder and plays with others, through love, towards the good for the entire earth family. This is our time. This is the LOVELUTION. It’s already happening. Join on in. Let’s spread some love and creativity to our fellow brothers and sisters on the planet. So how is Project Creo doing it’s part in the Lovelution? We see our role playing out in three different areas: iCREO: an online arts education platform.
The Creo network: an international network of arts programs. Lovefests: community gatherings of love, creativity, and music.
Project Creo has the following goals by the end of 2016: 1) Build iCreo, the Creo online arts education platform (curriculum development, technical design, strategic partnerships and community involvement) 2) Establish an international network of in-field arts programming (curriculum sharing, strategic partnerships, building of community project centers or “Creo centers”) 3) Community gatherings that celebrate and practice creative play with others, inspirational storytelling, music making, and most importantly, encouraging actions of love)
The Project Creo team is embarking on a one year journey around the world in order to teach children the Creo message: each is immeasurably worthy and each has infinite creative potential. The project will include Ecuador, India, Japan, Ethiopia, and the US and will consist of three major activities: 1) Implement the first international iCreo project with youth in Ecuador, India, Africa, and the US.
2) Facilitate professional development workshops with local educators and social workers, providing resources required for implementation of iCreo projects in the local community. 3) Organize community gatherings that inspire creativity, love, and positive social change while promoting iCreo.
